Every year beginning it gets bigger and better. Come 0t August 2016, East Africa witnesses one of the biggest youth contributions to East African Community regional integration. And the longest east African bicycle tour. In specific terms, we basically rely on our spirit to ride our bicycles across East Africa – from any part of East African Partner state throughout the east African partner states. Along the way we exhibit levels of the regional integration so far achieved at different sights easily accessible to us. But that is not all, we hope to create EAC regional integration awareness among the east African community partner states and showcase tourism and business potential available in the region and livelihoods in the different communities of the EAC. This event is dubbed Tour D’ EAC. We want to make this the biggest annual event in the East African Community Corporate Calendar. Finally, we ride as much or as little, as long or as short as we feel….. But we ride and complete the course for its cause. John B. Balongo Director Campfire Log Guild Tour D EAC Director

We out to appreciate God for these young East Africans who have decided to sacrifice their time and resources to venture to ride across the East African member states to promote EAC (East African community) integration agenda. The only partner state which will miss out on this noble and Historical undertaking is the newest nation in the world, South Sudan (SS). I must salute these young fellows who have decided to take a lead in reaching out our beloved communities as the bereave the sun, rains and colds in a one-month journey from Uganda via Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi and finally Rwanda before they return to Uganda. Its therefore my prayer that next leg of this cycling will also include the Republic of South Sudan. Viva!!our great East Africans and Viva! Our great beloved EAC families. God Bless Burundi, Kenya, Tanzania, South Sudan, Rwanda and Uganda Yours Co Angina CGSC (USA) NDU (china) Lt Gen. DCDF/I

The first time we met the Campfire Logs was enough to prove to us that we have a very serious team to do business with. Their zeal to visit Sweden on bicycles was just amazing. The young and vibrant former scouts were a team to reckon with. AT that time, they had yet another very interesting idea to walk over 300km from Mbarara to Entebbe. To them, this would be the best way to commemorate 100 years of scouting existence in Uganda. We as Angeo Expressions joined them in full support on foreseeing the potential in their activities. Our hope that other Ugandans, corporate or individual would join us in supporting their adventure proved futile. But because of the spirit and belief in ourselves, the event was actually successful. Angeo Expressions fully sponsored that event last year. Director Angeo Expressions and Uganda revenue customs supervisor Busia border MR. SSOZI GEOFFREY KAWERE

Messages:

I am excited by the decision by the Campfire Logs Guild to cycle around the region. over 30 days, in August 1, 2016, and over 30 days, the team cycled in an expedition known as Tour d’ EAC from Kampala, Uganda to the rest of the Partner States and back and in so doing, cover close to 3000 kilometers. I am delighted to note the cyclists met East Africans of all walks of life as they traversed through Jinja, Busia, Kisumu, Mai Mahiu and Nairobi before descending to Kajiado, Namanga and Arusha. While in Tanzania, they turned west of the hinterland towards Singida, Kahama, Ngozi and make their way into Bujumbura. The next leg saw the cyclists pedal north towards Butare and traverse through Kigali, Mbarara and into Masaka, before they made the grand entry into Kampala. All in all, the Campfire Logs Guild group cycled around the terrain, crisscrossed the highlands, navigated the valleys and countryside and sampled what the EAC capital cities offer, in a bid to create awareness about integration. They are not just sports men and women – but part of the new breed of EAC citizens who are becoming true patriots and enthusiastic about integration. Finally, the initiative by Campfire Logs Guild to ride around the region did not only benefit the individuals doing it, but the region at large. I congratulate you for the feat. WHOWE ARE

Campfire Logs Guild

Is an initiative of idealized young East Africans with diverse adventure background committed to the transformation of society through adventure through adventure learning/training programs. We inspire, equip and connect people through adventure. We began our journey in 2011 as active scouts. Since then we have worked with over 300 young people, students and corporate clients throughout East Africa. A large number of who have been with us since our inception. We now only provide adventure based outdoor programs under contract for individuals, families, government institutions, schools, churches, organizations and corporate companies. We work with groups of 2 to 100 people. Programs range in duration from 1 to 30 days. We run programs locally at the various locations with participants experiencing forests, rivers, caves, lakes, cliffs and mountains and villages tours.

Why Adventure:

Adventure as an activity specializes in combining reliable and practical individual assessment to provide a tactile style; this details natural performance style, work habit motivation, management style and much more.
We believe that feeling frightened and wanting to give up along the way is part of the game but the satisfaction of overcoming a challenge, learning your hidden strength and succeeding is much more thrilling. We actually use adventure as a performance improvement strategy.

Membership:

By paying only a fee of 100,000=, you join a family of Campfire Logs Guild and can participate in our programs or activities that require persistence and determination.

The three Activity Areas of the award program:

Campfire Logs Guild`s Program is committed to promoting a positive learning environment by managing the physical and emotional well-being of our participants while adapting to changes that can occur in a wilderness setting. The programs include activities that target enhancing trainings in various topics; including but not limited to: Team building, diversity awareness, leadership, working under pressure, time management, community collaboration and many more.

We offer three main categories of complements with a fusion of outings that involve multiple components

Go to places where the only sounds you hear are from friends and nature and the only sights you see are breathtaking and untamed. The wilderness experience leaves an impression that lasts a lifetime. Campfire in the wilderness trips are physically challenging yet designed with beginner to athletic ability levels in mind. Solitude, rugged adventure and inspiring nature are always nearby. Wilderness trip activity choices include backpacking, Hiking, mountaineering, mountain biking, biking, rock climbing and camping.

Offers the perfect community service activity, Sharing one`s time and talents for the benefit of others is an important part of the Campfire Logs Program. This requires sensitivity, perception of need, determination, perseverance and dedication. Acts of kindness Service activities are performed without pay or compensation. Here we focus on providing direct services rather than issues. When setting goals, we identify activities that benefit the community at large. Keeping in mind that political activities are not eligible acts of Kindness. Service activity choices are boundless but may include cultural immersion, organic farming, food distribution, wilderness conservancy and more.

Challenge yourself through an interaction with the wilderness or by immersing yourself in an unfamiliar culture. The aim of the Expedition or Exploration is to develop a spirit of adventure and discovery. Organizing, planning, training and completing the Expedition or Exploration. This requires self-reliance, determination and cooperation. This is a one-time experience that one has to plan and execute. It is not an event you just it is a journey that is taken to accomplish, achieve and realize a specific goal. (Most people normally loose it here one starts on a task and is destructed along the way, that’s why we have so many failures in Uganda).
